Regular Shares:
A regular share account is opened when you join the credit union. Your savings are called shares because they represent your share of ownership of the credit union. The basic share account must be maintained to preserve your membership.
Dividends (interest) are earned daily and credited at end of dividend period.
Withdrawals can be made from your account during any office hours.
All accounts are federally insured to $250,000 by NCUA, an agency of the U.S. government.
Regular Draft/Checking Accounts:
Share drafts are to credit unions as checks are to banks -- an easy access to funds deposited in the credit union.
Monthly statements assist you in balancing your account. |
No service charge or charge for share drafts for seniors 50+. |
VISA CHECK CARD - Our new VISA Check Card replaces check writing and saves you time and money. You can use it to make purchases anywhere that accepts VISA and funds are drawn directly from your share draft account. You can also use it at ATMs worldwide to get quick cash. All debit card transactions are recorded on your monthly share draft statement.

Salary Distribution:
Teachers can have a paycheck every month. How? Salary Distribution is a free service that provides the security of a year-round income. Here's how it works:
When you fill out an application for salary distribution, you've authorized the Board of Education to forward 16.67% of your net pay (take home pay) each payday to First where we will deposit it into your summer accounts. |
The checks will be mailed to you on June 15, June 30,
July 15 and July 31. |
Payroll Deduction:
The most effective way to save money is by payroll deduction. The money is sent by the employer directly to the credit union. It is much easier to save before you get your check each payday than to try to save after you have made all of your purchases.
You may sign up for payroll deduction when joining the credit union.
A fixed amount is deducted from each paycheck. |
Payroll deduction can also be used for loan payments. |
Direct Deposit:
Direct Deposit offers you a convenient way to have your paycheck deposited into your account without waiting in line.
Each payday your net pay will be automatically deposited into your Share Draft/ Checking or, if you prefer, your Share/Savings account. |
You will continue to receive your check stub detailing your gross pay, itemized deductions and net pay amounts. |
Direct Deposit is available for paychecks, pension checks and social security checks. |
Christmas Club:
Accounts for Christmas Club savings may be opened
at any time. |
The account will be set up from November 1st to
October 31st. |
Checks are available the first week of November. |

Tired of Paying Bills?
Eliminate the cost, inconvenience and worry of paying bills through the mail, sign up for eBillPay today!
Let the credit union do it for you. Our eBillPay service and takes the work and worry out of paying bills. You even save money!
Here’s how it works…
You receive bills the same way as always. When you are ready to pay, you schedule a payment online at www.fccu.us and we do the rest. You can pay anyone, anywhere through this service.
eBillPay is free to members with free eChecking. In addition, eBill Pay saves you:
- You can schedule recurring payments of the same amount (i.e. your home mortgage) to be paid automatically on the same day each month.
- If you don’t want to automatically pay a bill, your payee information is saved the first time you pay a bill. It’s all there the next time you need to make that payment
- The money comes out of your account on the date you schedule the payment to be made. Scheduling bill payment on paydays greatly simplifies money management.
- Your payee list reminds you of the regular payments you need to make.
- You will save the cost of postage stamps.
To ensure your payments are received on time, you need to schedule or make the payment at least five days prior to the bill’s due date.
